Clever as a Braindonor

red sunsetchildren hiding amongst cardboard packing boxesThe "Sun" newspaper has been running a token offer - collect 5 promotional tokens from daily publications of this quality breast-friendly broadsheet and send them off for a selection of Lego toys (with a chance to win a larger toy) - all free of charge apart from the £4 postage and packing. None of us read this august and highbrow journal but someone at Jof's work kept them for me: let's see what I get!
I got in the Golden Book today for a great improvement in my writing skills. Meanwhile Bud has had a big argument with Grandad and we don't have to phone or visit them any more. Looking forward to lots of  compensation Lego presents.
Thursday Park was cancelled (standing order about standing water in the park) and Ben had a party to go to and Johnny was having tea with an outsider and Bobert was ill.
So I procured myself a Little Miss Sunshine to bring a solar flare of gamma giga-giggles into my life.
Erin and I are very loud together but at least we get on with it. First she denigrated my den (it's just a massive stack of boxes with an L-shaped gap behind, good for two miniature miscreants) but then realised how good it was and we set about moving the roof (made of sheets of pink packing foam) onto the floor for a wrestling area and shooting Lego at each other from the cardboard fort.

The parents were doing Freudian sofa interviews again (ErinsMum wanted to steal our new big antique chest of drawers but couldn't fit it in her handbag) so we were left to it for an hour. There was a certain amount of whispering and plotting. I tickled her bare legs lots and we made a bouncy massage table and everything was funny but eventually she had to leave me.
It was not until he was trying to withdraw a chocolate bar from stock for tomorrow's packed lunch that an inventory discrepancy was discovered. Although I really tried to brazenly cover for our wanton embezzlement, we were well and truly busted. A cycle count of the chocolate cupboard revealed that during our whispering and plotting session, we had stolen 2 jellies, 4 Club bars and a Penguin. There was no choccy course for pudding tonight. Because we'd eaten it all and stashed the wrappers in the bin. I guess we're just not clever enough yet.
